This place is very nice, it's got ambience and class. However, it really does feel like it lacks a soul and the food quality versus the price point doesn't stack up. There are better Italian options and more reasonable food in the area so the premium to eat at one of Jamie's places wasn't justified in this instance.
After reading other reviews I have expected higher prices. The most expensive steak was $40 with side dish. My Large size Prawn Linguine was $33 and the small size was $18. The linguine was very tasty and good portion. All of our friends from the group have complimented on the quality. The front does not suggest to have more than 50 tables available to choose from. I will come back and happy to recommend the place.
Great food, really delicious pasta. The menu also gives you a choice of having a smaller portion (which is slightly cheaper) or normal portion. The atmosphere its lively, warm, with clean napkins and all cutlery available and dim lighting. Great for a casual dinner or a date. Great for larger groups or couples. But it's best to make a booking before coming on the weekends as the restaurant gets very packed and you could be waiting for about 40min before being seated.
The service in this restaurant is awesome, the waitress looked after us really well and we felt welcomed. The food is very nice as well, we had the Famous seafood pasta and Pork belly, they are all cooked to perfection. The Ultimate Plank is very nice and I really like the small touch of using Italian tomato sauce cans as base. Kids meals are also very tasty and healthy. The atmosphere couldn’t be more cosy and welcoming. This place is highly recommended!
Jamies Italian has interesting facts - Why are Pubs called Hotels in Australia? A pub, short for Public House, is an establishment whose main function is to serve alcohol, mostly beer. Also known as an Ale house or Tavern. The reason for this is that until recently, in Australia (late 1980s), pubs were forced, by the liquor laws, to provide accommodation and so were accurately called hotels.
